BRISTOL

by ROBERT BEVERIDGE

well, they say a bullet
came through the wall
of one of the other
apartments in the building
last night but the grocery
store has 12-packs
of boxed mac and cheese
for three bucks
and the landlord will let
you go a couple months
behind on the rent
if you lose your job
and the porn store
at the top of the road
has glory holes
for the days when
you have quarters
